Located 160 kilometers from Chiang Mai town, Mae Tho National Park covers an area of 990 square kilometers in Hod and Mae Cham districts. The park, which is perched on an average height of 1,715 meters above sea level, is home to lush forest, rare wildlife animals and sources of freshwater. Don’t miss to proceed to the viewpoint near the office of the national park where you’ll get a picturesque view of ladder rice fields of the Karens located around the valleys. Camping space is also priovided.

Getting there: Use Hot-Mae Sariang Road and turn into the park at the 55th kilometer. Roads are rough small vehicles are not recommended.
:Cambria'>From Chiang Mai Town, take Highway 1006 to King Amphoe Mae-on. At the intersection in front of Pao Sam Kha School, turn right to Highway 1229 and continue for 10 kilometres to turn right to Ban Huai Kaew. The office of the national park is 800 meters away.
How to get there :
Drive along the Hot-Mae Sariang road and en route to Mae Tho for 16 kilometres at Km. 55, drive onto asphalt and unpaved roads which are steep and curved. Only vehicles in good condition are recommended.
